Isn’t this stained glass house beautiful? Many people when they come to visit New York completely forget about Brooklyn but BK can be so amazing. Now I may be bias as I am a brooklynite, but some of the best restaurants and sites are located in the great parts of Brooklyn. Brooklyn Bridge Park is one of my favorites! I love this area as there so much to see and do! If you ever travel over to Brooklyn this is a must see!
Ok, so lets talk fashion! These heels have become my absolute go-to black heels. They are so comfortable and always add a little something to my outfit. We all have that one pair that we grab time after time! I am thinking about buying an exact same pair just to have when these ones have to be retired, but that’s a little crazy right?
While I think about buying yet another pair of heels, I hope your have a wonderful Tuesday! ♥
I got this super simple dress at Zara during one of their amazing sales. Anyone who shops a Zara sale knows they can’t be beat! If you can’t tell by now, I love bright colors. When I saw this dress in the store, I purchased it immediately! I may be a New Yorker, but my closet will always be more than just black clothes. 😉
My dad was in town this weekend and we have been running all around the city exploring new sights. It was so wonderful to see him, especially since I only get to see him every few months. I also love when he is in town because he always takes me out to all the really great restaurants!
Hope your weekend was heaps of fun and have a happy Sunday! ♥
Here is a short but sweet post 🙂 I am such a softie for a timeless pink dress! This silhouette is perfect, it is so chic and sexy at the same time! Perfect for a dinner date with that special someone. I know I will be wearing this dress for years to come. This will probably be my last “summer attire” post as it is starting to get cooler here in New York.
I am so glad it is almost Friday but first have a wonderful Thursday! Now I am off to dinner with my someone special! ♥
I love, love, love the character New Orleans possesses! Speaking of possessed, my mother, sister and I went on a haunted ghost tour. It was beyond fun because I love learning about all of the old stories! Believe in them or not they’re still fun to explore.
On the tour we went to the actual mansion of Madame Delphine LaLaurie, (you may be familiar with her if you have watched American Horror Story Coven) and heard stories of what happened in the house. It was insane! The ghost tour of New Orleans is not for the faint of heart.
NOLA was also exciting because around every street corner was live music! One of my favorite things to do is go to concerts and listen to live music. So being in New Orleans with live music everywhere was perfect for me!
I had such a great time listening to music, drinking tasty drinks, eating scrumptious beignets and spending time with my beautiful family! No doubt, I will return to this crazy, fun city soon!
Living in USA for most of my life and having not once traveled to New Orleans until now is so sad. NOLA was such a wonderful town, filled with such rich history! Walking around the Garden District was incredible; all the beautiful architecture of the mansions was inspiring and breathtaking. I wanted my outfits I choose to be very light and simple as the heat down south can be extreme but of course I had to add a little glam to it!
I am not going to lie one of many great things about this city was the food, it was so delicious and one thing you should know about me is I love to eat and try new foods. On that note, I tired alligator for the first time because when you are in the South, why not? I can honestly say it tastes very close to chicken. If you’re in NOLA and looking for a nicer restaurant I must say Emerli’s by Emeril Lagasse is the one to choose. Also, in your life you can never have too many beignets!
I will defiantly be back to visit this charming city! Have a happy Sunday!
As a lover of all things retro, I’m obsessed with vintage finds. Luckily for me I did not have to go far to find this simple but timeless black dress. In fact, I just wandered to my parents house and stepped into my mother’s closet.
My mother first wore this dress in the early 90’s and it is still as classic as the day she got it! This black dress is so versatile. I am just lucky that my mother let me have it!
Welcome to my blog lovelies! YAY I have finally launched the blog I’ve been dreaming about for a few years now. It really has been a long time coming and now it is finally here! I first want to thank a few people for helping me make it come to life; my father for helping me with all tech related questions, Nathan my roommate for helping me get that perfect shot and Ellen my co-worker for teaching me your coding ways. You all have been an enormous gift!
Now for the fashion! Isn’t the detail of this dress amazing? I have such a strong love for anything pastel, so when I found this dress on Asos it was a must have! This organza fabric is so beautiful and really makes this dress perfect for so many different occasions.
I am very excited to start sharing lots of fashion and travel posts every week. Now off to brunch, have a wonderful Saturday and Fashion Week! ♥
